Three killed in different incidents in Chuadanga

Apr 12 : Three people were killed and another was injured in different incidents here on April 5, 6 and 10.
A housewife was killed by her husband for dowry at Baka village under Jibannagar upazila on April  5.
The victim was identified as Salma Begum, wife of Chand Ali of the village. Local sources said,  Chand Ali after his marriage with Salma Begum had been pressing his wife to bring dowry from her father and he had been subjecting Salma Begum to physical torture for delay in bringing dowry.
On the day of incident, Chand Ali reminded Salma of the dowry.
Salma expressed  her inability to comply with the demand of her husband thus drawing his wrath upon herself. Chand Ali started beating Salma Begum indiscriminately killing her on the spot.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital for autopsy. Chand Ali went into hiding after the incident.   
Another housewife was killed by the son-in-law of her sister at Kolabari village under Damurhuda upazila on April 6.
The victim was identified as Shahida Begum (45), wife of Rezaul Huq Mollick of the village. Family feud was learnt to be the cause of the murder.
A person was killed and another injured in a road accident at Daulatdiar area on the Meherpur-Chuadanga road under Sadar upazila on April 10. The deceased was identified as Atiar Rahman, chairman of Gangni Union in Alamdanga upazila. The injured was Ainal Huq of Mochhainagar village in the same upazila.
Witnesses said,  the accident took place as a power tiller and a motorcycle carrying Atiar Rahman and Ainal Huq collided head-on in the area.
The motorcycle turned turtle and fell into a roadside ditch killing one person on the spot  and injuring another.
